Bonjour! Meet-up in Montreal for The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal for music & sightseeing. The Festival was founded in 1979 with the purpose of bringing the best musicians on the planet to the public. A non-profit organization since 1981, its mandate is to popularize jazz and its related musical forms thanks to its free outdoor shows and its wide global exposure, in addition to being a major tourist attraction for Montreal and a springboard for its musicians. Some events are free while others require ticket purchase in advance. 


Day One:

Saturday  June 29

Depart from LGA and arrive in Montreal. Check into your room at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Montreal.  Free time at the hotel enjoying the various amenities.  

Day Two - Day Five:

Sunday June 30 - Wednesday July 3

Breakfast at the hotel each morning.  During the day free time for Hop-on Hop-off  Bus Tour or any of the additional tours. In the evening attend one of the live music performances at various venues in Montreal. 

Afternoon Tea Tour - Montreal is the headquarters of the famous DAVIDsTea and home to a diverse tea culture. On this 4.5-hour tour that includes both walking and taxi rides, meet the top tea makers in the city with the help of a certified guide. Tasting different teas along the way, visit a Victorian-style mixology bar in Montreal's trendy Mile End, a Chinese tea company that’s one of the world’s top importers, and a French tea importer. A formal afternoon tea completes your tea education.

Black Heritage Tour - 4.5 hour walking tour of Montreal from a Black/African perspective. Tour is led by an experienced & passionate well traveled Montrealer and veteran tourist guide. The tour includes Montreal's Jazz History as well as the history of Prohibition, and the different influxes of migrations, immigration from the US, and around the world. Ruby Roy will bring to the tour a wealth of knowledge, humour, anecdotes and a richness of experiences which are unique.

Wine Tour and Cheese Tasting -  Vist two family owned vineyards for a guided tour. Learn about the culture of vines in Quebec’s challenging climate, then enjoy a full tasting of exclusive wines and ciders paired with a local cheese tasting.  Savor a full tasting hosted by the winemaker, who will teach tasting techniques.

Check out of hotel. Early morning transportation to airport for departure to LaGuardia Airport, New York.
